I grow up in an Asian community. The ‘S’ word or anything in relation to it is a big taboo. No one speaks of it in the open, especially the adults. The adults bear the mentality that one should find out about *ahem* on his or her own. No parent will discuss this subject with their kids.

Growing up in this context is a bit difficult because we are not encouraged to mention this subject.
